Description
BIO 4114 Field Biology with Lab (4 Credit Hours)
Field-oriented course that emphasizes the fauna and flora of South Florida from the perspective of community structure. Field trips to various communities including pinelands, hammocks, forests, mangroves, dunes, and wetlands including Everglades National Park. Techniques used in quantitative field ecology such as vegetative analysis, population estimation, diversity indices, and statistical methodology. Students enrolling in this course must also enroll in the corresponding lab (BIO 4110).
Prerequisite: BIO 2204; junior/senior standing; BIO 4104 recommended
