Introduces the variety of culturally and linguistically diverse groups represented in the United States in order to foster understanding and sensitivity. Provides insights and strategies that can be used to meet the needs of Limited English Proficient students. Includes the relationship between culture and language, culture shock, cross-cultural awareness, community resources, and family and school interactions.
