Description

Medical Terminology for the Health Sciences NUR 2113 3 Credit Hours This course is an in-depth presentation of medical language commonly utilized in the health sciences. The course emphasizes learning basic medical word structure, prefixes, suffixes, abbreviation, symbols, and descriptors used in communicating in the health sciences. This model will provide ongoing tools to further expand medical vocabulary through analysis of word structure. It will serve as a solid foundation for students interested in health care, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, physical education, or athletic training. This course will cover language of anatomy of the body, medical conditions, diagnostics, procedures, treatments, and equipment used in the health sciences. Semester/Term Offered: Spring
