This course is the first part of a two course comprehensive study of human pathophysiology and pharmacology appropriate to the professional nurse. This course supports NUR 3343 Medical Surgical Nursing I Theory by applying pathophysiologic and pharmacologic processes to the care and promotion of wellness across the lifespan. Major drug classes and prototypical drugs are presented with specific application to nursing care within the nursing process.

Prerequisite: NUR 2003; NUR 2023; NUR 2004; NUR 2012
Corequisite: NUR 3343, NUR 3352
