Description

NUR 3023 Health Assessment with Lab 3 Credit Hours Uses the nursing process with an emphasis on assessment, based on General System Theory, to determine the health status of diverse individuals across the lifespan. Communication skills, interview techniques, health history, and physical exam skills are introduced. Opportunities to apply health assessment skills, documentation, and critical thinking for nursing care planning are provided. Prerequisite: BIO 2024 or BIO 2024; Admission to Upper-Division Nursing Co/Prerequisite: NUR 3002; BIO 2034 or BIO 3044 Availability: Spring & Summer
