NUR 3112 - Fundamentals of Nursing: Clinical
2 Credit Hour(s)
This course provides the clinical component to NUR 3104 and will integrate the General System Theory and the nursing process to promote wellness throughout the lifespan and provide patient-centered care for the stable older adult population. Basic nursing care will be provided for the older adult population while considering physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual assessments. Ethical and legal values and the Christian worldview are interwoven in a culturally congruent process in each clinical setting. Students will use the nursing process to implement skills and acquired knowledge to promote critical thinking and decision making while providing care and respecting patient preferences.
Prerequisite: NUR 2003, NUR 2013, NUR 2023; Admission to Upper-Division Nursing Program
Corequisite: NUR 3104
