Description

NUR 3122 Medical-Surgical Nursing I: Clinical 2 Credit Hours Part I of a comprehensive clinical that builds on the concepts of health promotion, disease prevention, and the disease process for diverse adult and older adult populations and their affected families. Implements the nursing process, based on General System Theory with a focus on potential, acute, and chronic health care problems and the promotion of health and wellness. The novice professional role of the nurse is developed as students practice in multiple clinical settings and care for persons experiencing acute and chronic stressors. Prerequisites: 2003; NUR 3013; NUR 3023; NUR 3104, 3112 Corequisite: NUR 3123 Availability: Fall NUR 3203 Pathophysiology
