Description

NUR 3323 Psychiatric & Mental Health Nursing: Theory 3 Credit Hours Mental health theories and concepts are introduced as necessary to the development of therapeutic relationships with individuals, families, and at risk groups who have actual and potential mental health stressors. General System Theory and the nursing process are used to develop nursing actions to retain, attain, and maintain health and wellness. Critical thinking, therapeutic use of self, and communication skills are emphasized. Prerequisites: NUR 3002, 3012, 3023, 3123, 3133, NUR 3203 Corequisite: NUR 3332 Availability: Spring
