NUR 4012 - Medical-Surgical Nursing II: Clinical
2 Credit Hour(s)
This course provides the clinical component to NUR 4003 and this course is the second of three Medical-Surgical clinical courses that reinforce clinical concepts for the generalist graduate nurse. This course applies the concepts from NUR 4003 to the acute care setting. The concepts of health promotion, disease prevention, and disease process for diverse adult and older adult populations and their affected families are reinforced in each clinical setting. The nursing process based on General System Theory is considered while implementing compassionate, patient-centered, evidenced based care while respecting patient and family preferences. Ethical and legal values and the Christian worldview are interwoven in a culturally congruent process in each clinical setting.
