Description

NUR 4102 Maternal Nursing: Clinical
2 Credit Hours
This course applies nursing theory and critical thinking to the care of women and childbearing families from conception to birth. Health promotion and optimal patient wellness are explored, with a focus on women’s health, and the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn periods. Quality improvement concepts and the nursing process are utilized to develop culturally competent nursing actions that promote optimal wellness.
Prerequisites: NUR 3203, 3223, 3303, 3302, 3323, 3332
Corequisite: NUR 4202
