Description

NUR 4123 Complex Nursing: Theory 3 Credit Hours Introduces complex and critical care concepts and advanced technical skills. Applies the nursing process, based on General System Theory, to individuals and families experiencing acute and complex care needs. Critical thinking skills are refined as the specific needs of adults with acute and critical systems stressors, which may be life threatening, are considered. The focus is on the adult patient although the family and community systems are also included. Ethical and end-of-life issues specific to the critical care environment are explored. Prerequisites: NUR 3203, 3223, 3303, 3313, 3323, 3332 Availability: Fall
