Description

3 Credit Hour(s)

This course reinforces mental health theories and concepts as necessary for the development of therapeutic relationships with individuals, families, and at risk groups who have actual and potential mental health stressors. The nursing process is used to develop client-centered nursing actions to maintain wellness across the lifespan. Moreover, critical thinking, therapeutic use of self, and communication skills are emphasized.


Prerequisite: NUR 3233; NUR 3403

Corequisite: NUR 4162
