PSY 4403 Selected Topics in Psychology
3 Credit Hours
The purpose of this course is to explore the contemporary psychological studies and theories of emotion and motivation from a variety of perspectives, including clinical, cognitive, neurological and social. We will critically review research and application of these theories to human behavior. We will also discuss and explore several questions such as ?How do people control impulses? , Do emotions make us irrational? What are cross cultural similarities and differences in emotion and motivation?? Are nonverbal emotions Universal? How does Christianity contribute to emotion and motivation?? You will have an assigned text book as well as some research papers.
Prerequisites: PSY 2133 and PSY 3123
