Resolutions April 2021

Resolutions passed by the Senate:

1. In recognition of the existing demands of serving on FPEC and the expected increase in workload, and in an effort to reward such significant service, the Senate recommends that members of FPEC receive either a $500 stipend or a one semester course load reduction of one course.

Response from the Administration: Rejected

2. In recent years, some studies have suggested that delayed choice of major can result in greater academic success for undergraduates and, potentially, greater retention of students. The Senate requests that the administration form a task force including faculty, admissions, and retention personnel to research and investigate potential advantages of not requiring students to declare a major until their second year at PBA. (This would not prohibit students from declaring majors sooner.)

Response from the Administration: None
