Amendments to Senate Bylaws from April 2020, passed by Senate/Faculty:

1. A single election for President and Vice President

2. Election is to be conducted electronically near the end of the academic year but prior to the last scheduled Senate meeting of the academic year (Article IV, SEC 6)

3. Ballots for president and vice president must give voters the choice to vote for a candidate or to vote "abstain" (Article IV, SEC 6)

4. The term of office for President and Vice President begins in the summer following the election (Article IV, SEC 6)

5. Candidates for President and Vice President must qualify to be Senators (Article IV, SEC 7)

6. If the Vice President is running for election, then nominations are handled by someone who is not a candidate in the election, such as the President, Secretary, Parliamentarian, or a member of the Executive Committee (Article IV, SEC 8)
