This course is the second semester of a two-part series titled Human Anatomy and Physiology. This course is designed for Biology Majors or students who are pursuing careers that will require admission to and study in professional health-related programs. There will be a short review of the basic concepts of chemistry, cell biology, and tissues. Students who are entering this course are required to have prior knowledge of the organ systems. The organ systems that are covered during the second semester are cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive. There is a detailed study of metabolism, nutrition, and homeostasis. Aging, disease, stress, growth, development, and inheritance will be addressed through many structural levels of organization and through the eleven organ systems.
