EDU 1001 Introduction
to Education
1 Credit Hour
This course briefly examines the historical and philosophical foundations of education, as well as pertinent topics such as the
Florida Accomplished Practices, The Sunshine State Standards and the role of the teacher. In addition, entrance requirements for admission to the Department of Education will be addressed, as well as differences in general education requirements for education major. Wherever appropriate, the Christian worldview and philosophy
will be addressed.
