EDU 5543 Reading Practicum (3 Credit Hours)
Field-based course that focuses on the principles and practices of exceptional reading instruction. Students will apply instructional strategies and techniques for reading in their own classroom, reflect on the outcomes of these strategies and techniques and develop a reading portfolio to document continued growth and professional development in the area of reading instruction. This course requires a student to be teaching reading in a classroom in a local public or private school while simultaneously taking EDU 5293.
