NUR 4403 - Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare
3 Credit Hours

This course introduces students from multiple health professions to the principles, applications, and implications of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare through a Christian lens. Students will examine how AI technologies such as machine learning, clinical decision support systems, predictive analytics, natural language processing, and generative AI are integrated across clinical care, population health, research, education, and healthcare operations. Emphasis is placed on interprofessional collaboration, ethical and legal considerations, health equity, data quality, patient safety, and client-centered care. Students will develop foundational AI literacy and the ability to evaluate and responsibly use AI-enabled tools within interprofessional healthcare teams.
