NUR 5233 - Advanced Health Promotion: A Christian Perspective
3 Credit Hours
This course explores Christian perspectives of health promotion. The underlying faith assumptions and implications of health promotion are explored from a philosophical and historical perspective as well as the influence of Christian faith within the community. It explores evidence-based, theoretical foundations in health promotion, disease prevention, and maintenance of function across the lifespan with patients, family, and community. Epidemiological, social, and cultural determinants of health, along with leadership strategies are used to evaluate health promotion interventions across populations from all backgrounds and life experiences.
