Fall 2013 Group Fitness Class Schedule

Class Descriptions

Latin/Hip-Hop Cardio : High intense cardio workout sure to burn calories and whittle your waist through salsa, mambo, cumbia, merengue and reggaeton dance moves.

Zumba - This class combines high energy Latin and International music with easy-to-follow dance steps that allow the participants to dance away their worries a nd stress.

Dynamic Core: This class will have you sweating and shredding inches off your waistline. Focuses on strengthening your core.

Circuit Training – This class aims to maximize your calorie expenditure by utilizing a cardio and strength exercises in a circuit and interval training format. Get ready to shed fat and sculpt lean muscles.

Strong Body Boot Camp - This class is sure to shake up your regular routine. This workout is comprised of circuit training, battle ropes, kettle bells, and much more to help you kick that fitness plateau.

BellyBlast: Streamline your core! This class focuses specifically on the abdominals, oblique, and lower back.

Cardio Dance Blast: A hot and sweaty dance party with hip-hop, reggae, and pop music. This non-stop, 45 minute workout will melt away fat while boosting your dance skills like never before.

Step & Abs: This class combines athletic and dance based aerobic moves using an adjustable platform for diverse levels of intensity! The class concludes with a 15 minute abdominal workout.

Profile:

Stephanie is a graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University. She graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance, and is trained in classical ballet and modern dance. She has danced with Demetrius Klein Dance Company in Lake Worth from 2004 - 2009. It was through dance that Stephanie discovered Pilates. She is certified in Classical Pilates through Edge Pilates in Ft. Lauderdale. She has been teaching Pilates for the past 3 years and has started her own studio, Tight Tummies Pilates.

Profile:

Mackenzie Waldo is a graduate of PBA with her B.A. in International Business. She took dance classes from middle school through high school and was a member of the dance team at her high school. Mackenzie was in high school when Zumba was introduced to her hometown at the local college. She immediately loved it and started taking it regularly at her church and local gyms. She got certified to teach Zumba in January of 2009 and started teaching at a gym in her hometown over the summer. She loves it because it is an exciting and fun workout.

Profile:

Geneveve is a current PBA Financial Aid Counselor and a 2006 PBA Alumni. She received her undergraduate degree in Pre-Legal Studies. Her passion for all things fitness stems from her dance training in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Modern. Geneveve has taught several different class formats in Palm Beach County including Kickboxing, Step Aerobics, Latin Cardio, Circuit Training, Boot Camp and Pilates.
